ARTISAN WINES
At Coster d’En Sala, we make wines born of the way we live and work the land. Mediterranean wines made from grapes grown on our estate between Xàbia/Jávea and El Poble Nou de Benitatxell, in La Marina Alta.
Our wines are rooted in tradition, but they also reflect our desire to learn, improve and innovate, without ever losing sight of our commitment to doing things well.
SETTING
A lush corner of the Mediterranean, where the land breathes history. Fertile, iron-rich clay soils over pale-coloured subsoils. The
vines grow in different forms on this rich land, drawing moisture from below while capturing what the sea,
less than two kilometres away, whispers to them on its salty south-westerly breeze. All around lies Mediterranean woodland
—wild olive trees, kermes oaks, holm oaks, mastic trees, wild rosemary and lavender. And in the distance stands the imposing Montgó, like a
guardian watching over it all.
VITICULTURE
Mediterranean grape varieties. We practise sustainable, respectful viticulture, seeking to preserve soil structure
through natural ground cover, returning organic matter from pruning to the soil and treating vine diseases and
pests using non-aggressive methods.
